The features in Banglapad include the following:

1. Click and Type: There are key buttons representing Bangla alphabets all around Banglapad working space. You just click on the key buttons, and you get the Bangla alphabet typed in.

2. Easy Keyboard Layout: The fonts used in Banglapad are easy to use and problem free. They are made by making the easiest match with English letters. Type the way it sounds, e.g. the letter "v" types the Bangla letter "v". These fonts are most suitable for web page uses.

3. Front installed Key Labels for Easy Learning: If you want to use the keyboard, you need not to learn them straightway. The keys are integrated in the Banglapad interface as Key Labels. The keys which are used frequently they can be typed in through the keyboard using specific keys. These keys are known as key levels. In your Banglapad interface, these key labels are shown underneath the key buttons. One thing to remember that, there are few keys (Juktakhkhors) which don't have any key labels, they don't have any keys to type them, they can only be clicked.

4. Frequently used Phrase list: You can keep some of your frequently used words or phrases in the list file and type them whenever you need them by double clicking them or by using a special key. It makes your typing faster.

5. Dual Window working capability: There will be some instances, you will want to view in the upper window and type in the lower window. This is the unique feature of Banglapad. In the upper view window, you can load any picture or text file in picture mode and text mode. You can look at a picture file and then edit in your Banglapad work window. You will find many files out there in picture format.

6. Export to word capability: Banglapad is made in the intent of doing the things simple and fast. So there is not much formatting capability included in this software at present. But if you have Microsoft word installed in your computer you can take the advantage of it easily. There is an option to export all your work into Microsoft word and then you can do the necessary formatting and printing there.

7. Sending E-mails in Bangla will be included in the full featured version (registered version) in the future.

8. Quick Text Find: There is a quick text find feature included.
