Introducing Banglapad, a new, very easy to use software even for a novice user. On this "International Mother Language Day" (21st February 2005) anniversary, this is a small effort from the designer to Bangla community all over the world.

Banglapad is intentionally made very simple. So, simplicity is it's keyword. It is an excellent typing tool for Bangla typing which uses various techniques to make this job easy. The designer of this software is an ordinary computer user. So, he made this software according to his own very simple needs. The interface is kept very simple with easy to use, problem free Bangla fonts. These Bangla fonts are devised after matching the English alphabets as closely as possible to the Bangla alphabets. So, using normal English keyboard will be easier. No need of using any special Bangla keyboard.

Matching with English alphabets means,

If you type "A", it will be typed as Bangla "A".
If you type "k", it will be typed as Bangla "k".

and so on... Although many alphabets will not match.

One need not to memorize each and every keys to type a Bengali alphabet. Because,

1. There are Key Buttons which you click to type a letter.

2. Key Labels are easy way to learn keyboard typing. Those who would like use the keyboard can do so by using Key Labels. The Key Labels represents the keys need to be pressed to get a Bangla Alphabet. These are labeled under the Key Buttons.

Remember, when you see this bar sign ( | ) in the key labels, that means that you need to press Shift and another key to type a Bangla alphabet. You will find this bar sign ( | ) under few key buttons.

At present, it is at it's Beta stage. So, problems and faults are very likely. But it will not remain like this always. Designer will make every efforts to bring it in the line of standard software

I believe, using combination of Mouse and Keyboard will make this software very smooth and efficient typing tool.
